Shaving my head

Was shaving my hair off an emotional for me? Not really. I've read how some people have an emotional attachment to their hair, which makes it very difficult for them when it starts to fall out after chemotherapy. For those that had that feeling, I'm sorry!

For me, I was ready! I knew from the beginning I wanted to make it a family affair. I realize I'm not going through this alone. It affects my husband, my kids, my family and my close friends.

It just felt like the right thing to do to have my husband and kids shave my head. We made it fun, we laughed, they gave me a cool Mohawk and we all were happy.

Needless to say, I actually like it! Being bald is beautiful. My advice, make it special! Whatever special is for you. It could be shaving it alone in your bathroom, or with a group of family or friends.
You hold the power and it is your choice and your choice only!

What did I use to shave my head?

First I cut off as much as I could with hair scissors. It look like a pixie gone wrong. Then we used my daughters boyfriend, Michael, "Man Scape 3.0" razor for the rest. Key Note: the razor was a Christmas gift and unused. That would be gross otherwise. We're not that kind of family 🤣

My hair was thin so I didn't need to use some high quality grade razors. You may need to depending on your hair.
