Did my first bike ride since November 2020. I managed to go just over 4.5 miles in 90 degree heat before I had to stop. My heart rate got up to 180 BPM I was pushing myself that hard. So hard I got nauseous and vomited the water I was drinking. I ended up walking my bike about a mile the rest of the way home. Next time I will definitely go early in the morning when it's not so hot. I needed this bike ride. I needed to push myself. It's the only way to find myself. Physical fitness has always been such a huge part of my life, I refuse to let it go.

I was back at the gym 8 weeks after my surgery. (I didn't have a stoma to contend with, though.) I also went to the gym during chemo. My trainer adjusted my workouts since then to compensate for the realities of being an aging cancer survivor with severe neuropathy in my feet. Stay at it! I was stage 4b and am still going strong.
